October’s Hurricane Sandy was a devastating superstorm, battering countless communities and affecting millions throughout the Eastern United States. We sincerely hope that you and your loved ones all are safe.
In the hurricane’s aftermath, Aetna decided to cancel three RHA meetings for safety reasons. Aetna’s top priority is to ensure that individuals are not put at risk, and the extreme conditions produced by this giant storm dictated that the meetings could not be conducted safely.

Although Aetna made every attempt to contact the retirees scheduled to attend these meetings, the region’s communications infrastructure was severely damaged by Hurricane Sandy and its aftermath. In addition, Aetna’s IBM RHA website, maintained in New York City, was knocked out for most of the week after the storm. Aetna therefore was unable to contact everyone affected.
For those who could not be reached, we understand your disappointment in the meetings’ cancellation. We sincerely apologize for the inconvenience this may have caused.
As an alternative, you can either attend one of our conference calls or webinars or (in some areas) attend a meeting. In addition, our website has been restored. You can see a list of the remaining meetings, conference calls, and webinars at:
